This season was specifically open to the young boys of 11 to 13 years of age who had not attended the previously held seasons.
To participate in the new Irancell-La Liga talent acquisition season, parents of 11-13 years old teens recorded a 1-minute video of their kids playing soccer. Then they sent the recorded videos to irancell.ir/camp, by 10th of Khordad, 1398 at irancell.ir/camp.
The received videos were assessed by a talent acquisition team on 19th of Khordad based on which 60 of the participants were invited for a 3-day training period which held from 28th to 30th of Khordad, 1398. Christian Karembeu, former Real Madrid player, attended this camp as La Liga’s Ambassador.
Irancell has previously held four rounds of talent acquisition camp attended by La Liga talent acquisition ambassadors and players such as Luis García, Júlio Baptista and Gaizka Mendieta as well as several current and former players of Iran national soccer team and Iranian premier league. 330 talented teen players were identified, instructed and received the relevant certificate, in the previously held talent acquisition camps.
La Liga talent acquisition camps are held in line with the MoU concluded between Irancell and Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP), aimed at making available for Irancell subscribers, La Liga products and exclusive high quality video content and also improving the quality of Iranian soccer, specifically among teenagers.
Extension of this MoU was previously announced by Irancell.
