.Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is a service that allows you to switch over to another operator while keeping your existing mobile phone number. By switching to Irancell you will always have an endless supply of great benefits, offers and promotions.

  • When you receive the confirmation SMS, respond by sending 1 to the mentioned number.
  • Porting is free of charge.
  • All communications will be done via SMSs sent with number “667”.
  • Only the natural persons can register for MNP and legal entities should follow their requests through their authorized representatives by referring to one of our service centers.
  • The requests logged during holidays or out of working hours will be followed during the working hours (i.e. Sat. to Wed.: 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. and Thurs.: 8 A.M. – 3 P.M.)
  • Since during the porting process various SMSs are sent and received, in order to prevent any problems, please use a device that would transfer the messages properly.
  • After porting to Irancell, all voice calls made to fixed lines or mobile numbers (belonging to Irancell or other operators’ network) will be only 66.9 Tomans per minute for prepaid subscribers and 33.3 Tomans per minute for postpaid subscribers.

Mobile number portability (MNP) is a service that allows mobile telephone users to retain their mobile phone number when changing from one mobile network carrier to another.
Launching of the service goes back to 15 years ago when it was first offered in Europe and southern Asia. Today the service is offered in more than 80 countries.

Once your request SMS is verified and your revived port ID, it will take 3 days for prepaid SIM cards and 5 days for postpaid SIM cards to activate the service. If the service didn’t get activated after mentioned times call 700 from your Irancell line and 09377000000 from other lines to contact Irancell call centers.
No, it is only possible to port from prepaid to prepaid and postpaid to postpaid SIM card.
The operator in which the subscriber for the first time registered, submitted required documents for authentication and received subscription verification.
The Service provider, to which the mobile number belongs at the time the subscriber makes a request for porting.
The Service Provider who will be providing mobile telecommunication service to the subscriber after porting.
The database maintained by each Mobile Number Portability Service provider in electronic form, holding the details of all ported mobile numbers in its zone, along with the complete history of all transactions related to the porting of such numbers. Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) organization is in charge of managing and monitoring the database and makes it possible to send port-specific SMSs between operators and subscribers.
Once the request for port is reviewed and verified, your port IP will be texted to you to proceed.
Once porting to new operator you’re airtime will be reduced to zero. To use your prepaid SIM card you need to purchase credit.
After sending port request, postpaid subscribers will receive their bill through a text which they need to pay within 24 hours.
Every subscriber is allowed to port his number only twice a year. (It is worth mentioning that returning to your base operator will not be considered as porting your number.)
While your port request is entered and verified, you will receive a SMS indicating that you’re current SIM card is deactivated, then you will be able to insert your new SIM card into your phone.
Once your SIM card is activated, you will receive a welcome text. Moreover, you will receive a call from Irancell support team to welcome you and provide you with more information on Irancell services.
